KENNEBUNK, MAINE – Limmer Education — a publisher of study and exam preparation products in EMS, nursing and allied health — is hosting an item writing workshop in Las Vegas coinciding with 2017 EMS World Expo in October.
The item writing workshop, similar to those hosted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), will provide high quality, peer reviewed exam items for use in Limmer Education products. The workshop will be facilitated by Todd Vreeland, former exam coordinator for the NREMT.
“We’ve invited a talented and diverse group of EMS educators from around the country,” said Limmer Education Co-Founder Stephanie Limmer. “We’re very excited about what this process will add to our high quality products.”
Participants will also bring valuable item writing experience back to their schools. “It isn’t easy to write exam items that effectively measure knowledge and prepare students for the NREMT,” says EMS author and Limmer Education’s Chief Pass-ologist Dan Limmer. “In our process, educators will learn from Todd Vreeland and each other. Even the most experienced educator won’t look at a test question the same way again.”
Questions developed through this dynamic process will be added to Limmer Education products including EMTReview.com, Paramedic Review Plus and EMT Review Plus. Limmer Education’s wide range of products can be found at http://limmereducation.com/products/
