About the App

Paramedic PASS is the most in-depth paramedic NREMT prep app available.

With 500 questions and rationales written by former NREMT staff, Paramedic PASS will train your brain to think for the National Registry exam. The questions will challenge you – and prepare you to pass the first time.

Limmer Education’s mobile and web-based Paramedic PASS app is the one critical study tool you need to pass the NREMT. It also helps you learn the clinical ins and outs you need to know to be a good EMS provider.

Highlights of the Paramedic PASS app:
  • 500 paramedic review questions, written by people who worked for the NREMT.
  • Includes all the NREMT’s new question types for 2024: Drag & drop, option box, build a list.
  • Detailed rationales that help you understand what makes the correct answer correct.
  • Two clinical judgement scenarios (10-12 questions each).
  • Two timed, 100-question simulated NREMT exams for practice.
  • Predictive scoring to tell you if you’re ready.

Paramedic PASS app is the result of a collaboration with Bill Brown, the former Executive Director of the NREMT. The questions are created to be more challenging than the actual NREMT exam. If you do well in the app, you can be confident in your readiness for the exam and the street.

How to Use the Paramedic PASS App

The app has 3 sections. Start in the Review section to test your clinical knowledge in 10 major areas of study:

  • Airway, Oxygen, and Ventilation
  • Cardiology
  • Trauma 1 (Head, Neck, Chest)
  • Trauma 2 (Soft Tissue, Spine, Ortho, Burns, Environment, Multi-Causality)
  • OB and Peds
  • Pharmacology
  • Respiratory and Neuro
  • Abdominal, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, GU and Operations

When you’re confident in each topic, get some practice in the Performance Scenario section. This multi-step question style was added to NREMT ALS exams in 2023, and scoring of these question types is expected to begin sometime in 2024. You probably won’t see Performance Scenario questions on your class tests, so it’s important to get practice with them before taking the National Registry exam.

Finally, use the two simulated exams to get practice answering 100 NREMT-style paramedic questions in a timed setting. Then our PASS Predictor will help you understand how ready you are for the real thing.

Your app helped me pass! This was attempt 3 and I was not able to do it on my own. Thanks to audio and the app I was able to pass my exam.

Miles M.

I just took and passed my written today and I can say the material here really prepares your mind for how to think and break down questions.

Jon A.

I took National Registry and passed it no problem on my first time up. Without this app I would not have recognized 95% of the questions I was asked.

I have been studying this and failed my first two times. Now I’m preparing for a third time to test. Any suggestions

    • Brandon Wilson says:

Hey, I have been using this as a study tool also for paramedic registry. I have also been unsuccessful on my first and 2nd attempt. I am about half way through the sections and then will take the two practice test. I take my third attempt at registry on Jan 10th 2022. Was wondering how you did on your third attempt? If this was helpful for you or if you any have any other tips?
      Thanks!

  • Ann M. says:

Just took my national exam..passed first time..80 questions..1 hr. I used this tool almost exclusively for studying..it definitely helps you break down the question. Thanks.

  • Chris says:

Is paramedic pass a one time or monthly recurring payment?

  • Mark Gebhart says:

Do you have prep materials covering the new exam which starts in July 2024?

    • Stephanie Limmer says:

Hi Mark- Paramedic PASS does have the Performance scenarios and Multiple Response questions. We are working on adding the Drag and Drop, Build a list and Option boxes. We do have all of that content at our subscription website EMTReview.com.

  • Byanca S says:

I’m having trouble passing the national, on my last attempt for paramedic. Wondering which should I purchase?

    • Stephanie Limmer says:

Hi Byanca- I would recommend EMTReview.com or Paramedic PASS. There is a lot of content at EMTreview.com from study guides, videos, live weekly reviews and tests. Paramedic PASS is strictly multiple choice questions but are written in the NREMT style. I would also recommend you check out our YouTube channel for how to read and break down an NREMT question.
